KCC men’s basketball signs Nathan Taylor of Battle Creek

Nathan Taylor of Battle Creek has signed a letter of intent to play men’s basketball at Kellogg Community College and will begin playing for the team during the fall 2012 season.

During his time playing for Battle Creek Central High School, Taylor was named to All-Conference and All-City teams in 2010-11 and 2011-12 and was an All-State Honorable Mention in 2012. He averaged 18.5 points per game, in addition to 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals.

Melvin McKnight, head men’s basketball coach at Kellogg Community College, said Taylor will be a great player who works hard and is still growing.

“When Nate was in the eighth grade I had a camp for the middle school, and he was the first kid in the gym,” McKnight said. “I’m glad to have him and I’m looking forward to helping him grow to get to the next level.”
