  • MLive.com’s West Michigan Business section includes a post featuring an interview with Janesville Acoustics President David Cataldi, who says in the post that “Key factors that influenced Janesville Acoustics’ decision to establish a manufacturing presence in Battle Creek included … access to a technical college partnership that ensures a steady stream of skilled employees.” This is a reference to Kellogg Community College’s Regional Manufacturing Technology Center.
  • The Battle Creek Enquirer posted an article about an upcoming family reunion for former and current residents of the east side of Battle Creek scheduled for 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at Stellrecht Park, 85 Bennett St. The article says that among the entertainment scheduled for the event is the Kellogg Community College men’s basketball team, which will provide demonstrations and basketball drills for kids during the event. The college’s head men’s basketball coach, Melvin McKnight, grew up on the east side of Battle Creek, the article says. “We’ve got 11 or 12 freshman coming in this fall and we want to get them involved in giving back to the community right away,” McKnight says in the post.
