KCC women’s volleyball team defeats Lake Michigan College

The Kellogg Community College women’s volleyball team defeated Lake Michigan College in three sets last night, with scores of 25-11, 26-24 and 25-22.

Freshman Alexandra Osborne (Lakeview) had 13 kills, six digs and one assisted block; freshman Janelle Hayes (Battle Creek Central) had 10 kills, one dig and one assisted block; freshman Tara VanDenberg (Pennfield) had 15 digs and one ace; and sophomore Kylie Marquardt (Eisenhower) had 13 digs and one ace.

The women’s volleyball team plays next against Lansing Community College, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at home in the Miller Gym on KCC’s North Avenue campus. The game will be a special night dedicated to raising awareness of autism and will include door prizes. Donations for the cause will be accepted at the door.
