On Wednesday, March 6, 2013, a workshop will be held to help students who are planning to transfer to a four-year college or university from Kellogg Community College.

The workshop — titled “Transferring” — will take place from noon to 1 p.m. in the Spring Lake Room of the Morris Learning Resource Center on KCC’s North Avenue campus. The topics covered during the workshop will include when and how to apply, admissions criteria, transferability of classes and more, as well as answers any specific questions posed by participating students.

Presenting the workshop will be Kathy Barney, an academic advisor at KCC.

“It’s never too soon to start looking around to see where you might want to transfer,” Barney said. “The receiving institution will decide if your credits will transfer over. KCC can provide students with many Michigan college transfer guides to consider as they prepare to transfer out.”

There is no fee or registration required to attend the workshop, which is open to any students who want to have a smooth and successful transfer process. To learn more about the workshop, please call the Support Services Department at 269-965-4150.
