The KCC baseball and softball teams’ games originally scheduled for this weekend have been canceled due to weather conditions.

The Kellogg Community College baseball and softball teams’ games originally scheduled for this week have been canceled due to weather conditions not conducive to game play, the teams’ coaches said this morning.

The baseball team’s home game scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday against Jackson Community College and their away games against Delta College scheduled to start at 1 p.m. Saturday in University Center have been canceled. The single nine-inning JCC game would have been the team’s first home game of the season.

The team’s away games scheduled to start at 2 p.m. yesterday against Glen Oaks Community College in Centreville — which would have been the team’s first games in Michigan and first conference games this season — also were canceled.

The softball team’s away games scheduled to start at 3 p.m. Friday against Glen Oaks Community College in Centreville and their away games against Kalamazoo Valley Community College scheduled to start at 1 p.m. Saturday in Kalamazoo have both been canceled. The GOCC games would have been the team’s first games in Michigan and first conference games of the season.

Both teams have home games scheduled for Tuesday, March 26, but both coaches said the games depend on weather conditions.
