Rachel Lock of White Lake has signed a National Letter of Intent to play women’s soccer at Kellogg Community College and will begin playing for the Bruins during the Fall 2013 season.

Lock has many years of club soccer experience playing for the Waterford Warriors Soccer Club and the CW3 Extreme premier soccer club and was a three-year starter as a midfielder for Lakeland High School, a very successful soccer program.

Lock is also an honor roll student and member of Lakeland’s highly regarded student leadership program.

Barth Beasley, head coach of the women’s soccer team at KCC, said Lock comes to the program with her sites set on being an impact player academically as well as on the field.

“When sitting down with her and her father it was very clear that she had done her research on what KCC has to offer,” Beasley said. “She mirrors the goals and leadership toward player development that all coaches provide for our student-athletes at KCC.”
