Here are some reminders of upcoming events related to Kellogg Community College.

Scheduled for today, Wednesday, June 26, 2013:

  • KCC’s Bruin Bookstore will be closed Wednesday, June 26, through Friday, June 28, while store employees complete their annual inventory process. The bookstore will reopen on Monday, July 1.
  • The KCC Summer Basketball Camps for youth led by KCC basketball players and coaching staff continue through Thursday at the Miller Gymnasium on KCC’s North Avenue campus. Click here for more information about the camps from a post on this blog.
  • KCC’s Air Rescue Firefighter (ARFF) Trainer, an aircraft fire simulator used to train fire departments across the United States to respond to aircraft fires, continues training firefighters at Provo Municipal Airport in Provo, Utah.   • KCC will host college alumnus and Peace Corps volunteer Jordan Blekking at 6:30 p.m. for a presentation highlighting his experiences while on assignment in Zambia. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the newly renovated Kellogg Room adjacent to the cafeteria on KCC’s North Avenue campus.   • KCC’s women’s soccer team will hold their second of four Open Field Kick Around days this summer from 10 a.m. to noon. Coaches are not allowed under National Junior College Athletic Association rules at these times to do any coaching or answer player questions about what they need to work on, but they will be present to open and set up the soccer field and to observe.   • Registration continues for the Fall 2013 semester. Click here for a list of classes available this fall. Register early for the best selection!
  • The Upward Bound and Horizons at KCC summer learning programs for high schoolers and elementary school kids, respectively, are underway and will run weekdays through Friday, July 26.   • The Nursing Program at Kellogg Community College has spots available for the part-time program beginning in Spring 2014. The admission cycle for Spring 2014 closed in January, but KCC is reopening the admission window for a limited time and will accept applications through July 1, 2013. Click here for more information from a post on this blog.
  • Registration is also underway for two sessions of summer Volleyball Skills Camps for Girls to be led by KCC’s women’s volleyball players and coaches in July. The deadline to register is Wednesday, July 17. Click here for more information from a post on this blog.
