Kellogg Community College is partnering with the Michigan Community College Association to offer a photography contest featuring prizes worth more than $3,000.

In conjunction with the MCCA’s “You’ve Got This” campaign to build awareness of Michigan community colleges, KCC and the MCCA are looking for “You’ve Got This” moments from KCC students, future students and alumni that illustrate each person’s unique connection to their local community college.

To enter the contest – which will run from Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014, encompassing Michigan’s first-ever Community College Week – participants must follow KCC and the MCCA on Instagram or Twitter, upload their photo to one of the two social media platforms, and tag it with the hashtags #blazeyourtrail and #MCCAYGT.

Full rules and regulations are available online at www.kellogg.edu/photocontest.

KCC will award a gift card to the College’s Bruin Bistro to each of the top three photographers as selected by guest judge John Grap, visual editor of the Battle Creek Enquirer. Awards include a $50 gift card for the first place winner, a $30 gift card for the second place winner and a $20 gift card for the third place winner.

Additionally, all qualified entries will be considered for the MCCA’s statewide grand prize of a scholarship in the amount of $3,000 to be used to cover the cost of tuition at the winner’s Michigan public community college.

Local and state winners also will be featured on KCC and MCCA social media sites, respectively.
