Bruins Give Back today concludes Community College Week

Bruins Give Back participants serve during an event in February, 2013.

Kellogg Community College’s first-ever Community College Week concludes today with activities focused around the theme “Serve” on the North Avenue campus in Battle Creek.

Today’s main activity — which is open to community members in addition to students and staff — is the first Bruins Give Back volunteer event of the semester, which will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Kellogg Room. Bruins Give Back activities will include:

  • Serving in the community garden on campus
  • Wrapping boxes for Operation Christmas Child
  • Creating duct-tape wallets
  • Decorating sandwich bags
  • Assisting with a project for Beacon Community

Volunteers who serve for at least one hour will get a free T-shirt!

Participants at each Community College Week event can also enter a drawing for a chance to win a grand prize worth $200!
