The Kellogg Community College Athletics Department will be accepting donations of new toys or spare change to purchase new toys through November to be donated to Toys for Tots.
Toys will be purchased for donation to the program at the beginning of December.
Donation jars will be located in the main office on the second floor of the Miller Physical Education Building on KCC’s campus at 450 North Ave., Battle Creek, and on the lower level of the building in room 103.
“KCC’s Athletics Department has been collecting donations for Toys for Tots for several years,” Sharon Powell, coordinator of the Miller Building and KCC’s Toys for Tots collection, said. “Through the continued generosity of KCC students, staff and the Battle Creek community, we hope to collect more donations this year than ever before so that as many kids as possible can experience the excitement of a gift on Christmas morning.”
The goal of the Toys for Tots program is offer hope to less fortunate children at Christmas by delivering them a new toy. For more information about the program, visit www.toysfortots.org.
