The deadline for graduating high school seniors to apply for a Kellogg Community College Trustee Scholarship for the 2015-16 academic year at KCC is 5 p.m. Friday, March 13.

The KCC Trustee Scholarship, which equals the cost of tuition and fees for four semesters for up to 64 credits at KCC, is available to graduating high school seniors from within the College’s district. Applicants must be nominated by a representative from their high school administrative or counseling department and approved by the KCC Foundation’s Board of Directors.

Eligible students must have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.2 or higher and must be a graduating senior from one of the following area high schools: Athens, Battle Creek Academy, Battle Creek Central, Calhoun Christian School, Calhoun Community, Harper Creek, Homer, Lakeview, Mar Lee, Marshall, Marshall Academy, Pennfield, St. Philip Catholic Central, Tekonsha or Union City.

More information about KCC Trustee Scholarship criteria and application guidelines can be found on the KCC Foundation website at www.kellogg.edu/kcc-trustee.

Applications for the scholarship are not available online, as they are provided only to those students who have been nominated for the award by their participating school. Students who would like to be nominated are encouraged to contact their high school administrative and/or counseling departments.

The scholarships are administered by the KCC Foundation, which provides booklets including applications for 2015-16 KCC Foundation general and transfer scholarships in the counseling departments of all area high schools, in addition to the KCC Foundation, Advising, Financial Aid and Student Services offices at KCC.

The application deadline for general KCC Foundation scholarships for the 2015-16 academic year is March 6. KCC Foundation transfer scholarships, like the KCC Trustee Scholarship, have a deadline of March 13.
