Athletes interested in playing on the women’s volleyball team at Kellogg Community College this season are invited try out for the team at the team’s Open Tryout in July.
The KCC women’s volleyball team’s 2015 Open Tryout will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, at the College’s Miller Gym, on campus at 450 North Ave., Battle Creek.
The tryout will be held in an open gym format including skills testing and live play, followed by an evaluation period. Head Women’s Volleyball Coach Tom VanWienen said the team is looking for two or three new players to start training with the team on Aug. 1.
While players must be high school graduates attending or planning on attending KCC during the upcoming volleyball season, players may try out for the team whether or not they have enrolled for fall classes by July 29.
