Kellogg Community College’s Music Department is pleased to accept a gift in the amount of $5,000 from the Woman’s League of Battle Creek to be used toward the cost of refurbishing the department’s pianos.

Assisted by the KCC Foundation, the Music Department, under the direction of Dr. Gerald Blanchard, reached out to the members of the Woman’s League based on their deep interest and appreciation for education and the arts.

Recently, the College held a reception for members of the Woman’s League and the College’s Music Department in the newly renovated Binda Performing Arts Center lobby.

“I am extremely grateful to the Woman’s League for their generosity in assisting us with our piano refurbishing project,” Blanchard said. “Their gift provides us an opportunity to improve our musical equipment for the betterment of student education.”
