Kellogg Community College’s 2016-17 theatre season will include two mainstage productions and two end-of-year showcases produced by students, with one of each scheduled for the fall and spring semesters.

Mainstage productions include:

“Noises Off”
Auditions: 7 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Sept. 29 and 30
Showtimes: 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Nov. 11, 12, 18 and 19; and 3 p.m. Sundays, Nov. 13 and 20

One of the most highly acclaimed comedies of the past 30 years, “Noises Off” is a hilarious contemporary classic. The show centers on the chaos surrounding the production of a play within the play that gives the audience a glimpse of what it’s like to put on a show where everything goes off the rails. The entire set rotates during intermission, giving the audience the ability to see the show from behind the scenes.

“Zombie Prom”
Auditions: 7 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Feb. 23 and 24
Showtimes: 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, April 14, 15, 21 and 22; and 3 p.m. Sunday, April 23

An under-appreciated off-Broadway cult hit from the 1990s, “Zombie Prom” is a doo-wop, early rock ‘n’ roll influenced homage to the early years of science fiction and monster movies, mashed together with a healthy dose of teenagers in love. Featuring ultra-catchy tunes, retro dancing, delightfully cheesy dialogue and heart for days, “Zombie Prom” will ooze its way into the hearts of Battle Creek audiences.

Additional KCC Theatre performances will include biannual end-of-semester student “Mich-Mash” showcases featuring theatre students performing a variety of popular scenes as well as original content. Mich-Mash performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, and at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2017.

All auditions and performances will be held at the Binda Performing Arts Center on campus at 450 North Ave., Battle Creek. More information about auditions will be released approximately a month before each audition date.
