KCC Softball Clinics for youth to be held Feb. 19 and 26 in Battle Creek

Youth softball players will have a chance to enhance their skills in the sport with help from college athletes during a pair of Kellogg Community College Softball Clinics this month.

The KCC Softball Clinics, hosted by KCC softball players and coaches, will run in two sessions at the Battle Creek Central Fieldhouse, 162 Champion St., Battle Creek. Sessions include:

  • Session 1
    Eighth through 12th grade
    8 a.m. to noon Sunday, Feb. 19
  • Session 2
    Fifth through seventh grade
    8 a.m. to noon Sunday, Feb. 26

The four-hour clinics will cover defensive and hitting skills. Participants are asked to come ready to play and to bring their own glove, helmet, bat and a water bottle.

Registration

Individuals interested in participating in one of KCC’s Softball Clinic sessions are encouraged to register as soon as possible, as space in each session is limited and will be granted on a first come, first served basis.

Registration forms are available online  through the link above or at www.kellogg.edu/softball. Once completed, forms may be dropped off or mailed with payment to Lifelong Learning, 450 North Ave., Battle Creek, MI 49017, or faxed to 269-565-2129. Phone registration using a credit card is also available by calling the Lifelong Learning office at 269-965-4134.

Registration for each session of the KCC Softball Clinic is $65; all participants will receive a free KCC T-shirt.
