Kellogg Community College’s Student Life office is hosting an American Red Cross Blood Drive on campus this week in Battle Creek.

The event will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Thursday, March 2, in the lobby of the Binda Performing Arts Center, on campus at 450 North Ave. in Battle Creek. Members of the public in addition to KCC students and employees are encouraged to donate.

Those who wish to give blood at KCC on March 2 can walk in during the event or set up an appointment in advance at the Student Life office on campus or by calling 1-800-733-2767.

According to the Red Cross, someone in the U.S. needs blood every two seconds, and the Red Cross supplies about 40 percent of the nation’s blood supply. For more information about donating blood or to find out if you’re an eligible blood donor, visit www.redcrossblood.org.
