KCC women’s basketball falls 85-49 to Albion College’s JV

Kellogg Community College’s women’s basketball team lost its latest away game 85-49 Monday against Albion College’s junior varsity team.

Leading the Bruins on the court were Dareka Clayton (Battle Creek/Battle Creek Central), who had 12 points and 8 rebounds; Breanna Eddy (Coldwater/Coldwater High School), who had 11 points; and Sarah Gwinn (Jackson/Jackson Northwest), who had 10 points and 10 rebounds.

“We just did not have it tonight,” Head Women’s Basketball Coach Dic Doumanian said. “We’ve got a few days to regroup before heading to Dayton Saturday with the men’s team in our last action before Christmas.”

The team plays next at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, against Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio. The Bruins’ next home game starts at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, against Oakton Community College at the Battle Creek Central Fieldhouse, 162 Champion St., Battle Creek.
