KCC men’s basketball falls 91-54 to Ancilla College

KCC's 2017 men's basketball team

Kellogg Community College’s men’s basketball team lost its latest away game 91-54 Saturday against Ancilla College.

Leading the Bruins on the court were Khylen Watkins (Battle Creek/Harper Creek), who had 17 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists, and Justin Knight (Oak Park/Oak Park High School), who had 8 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists.

Head Men’s Basketball Coach Ben Reed said the Bruins played well in the first half, stuck to the game plan, and played with a lot of energy which was the reason they had the lead going into halftime.

“In the second half we went away from what made us successful in the first half and we struggled on the offensive end,” Reed said. “I believe my guys learned a lot from this game.”

The Bruins’ next home game starts at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, against conference opponent Muskegon Community College at the Battle Creek Central Fieldhouse, 162 Champion St., Battle Creek.
