KCC women’s basketball falls 83-32 to Lansing Community College

Kellogg Community College’s women’s basketball team lost its latest home game 83-32 Saturday against conference opponent Lansing Community College.

Leading the Bruins on the court were Destiny Kincaide (Chicago, IL/Hyde Park Academy), who had 10 points and 6 rebounds; Dareka Clayton (Battle Creek/Battle Creek Central), who had 8 points, 15 rebounds, 5 blocks and 3 assists; Sarah Gwinn (Jackson/Jackson Northwest), who had 8 points and 10 rebounds; and Breanna Eddy (Coldwater/Coldwater High School), who had 4 points and 7 rebounds.

“Four games in eight days with seven players caught up with us today,” Head Women’s Basketball Coach Dic Doumanian said. “Some time off will do us a lot of good as we hit the road to take on Glen Oaks Wednesday. Go Bruins!”

The team plays next at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, against conference opponent Glen Oaks Community College in Centreville. The Bruins’ next home game starts at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, against conference opponent Lake Michigan College at the Battle Creek Central Fieldhouse, 162 Champion St., Battle Creek.
