KCC Stories: CNA grad Faith Kelley is studying to join the Nursing Program

Kellogg Community College student Faith Kelley didn’t choose to pursue a career in the health field – it chose her.

Kelley, a 21-year-old mother of a 5-month-old girl, started KCC’s Nursing Assistant Training Program looking for a better income for herself and her baby, but working in health care quickly became a passion.

After Kelley finished CNA training, she decided to pursue further education in the health field. Today Kelley’s taking the prerequisites for KCC’s Nursing Program, and hopes to work with mothers and babies in the future.

“I’m just taking life as it comes to me but never forgetting the goals I have set for myself and my daughter,” Kelley said. “Things in life tend to get in the way, but I always come back to the path of my goal.”
