Registration is open now for more than two dozen youth summer camps offered through Kellogg Community College’s Bruin Youth Programming initiative.

The camps, many of which are new to KCC this year, are available for youth ranging in age from 8 to 18 and include camps focused on:

  • Making apps and video games
  • Designing worlds in Minecraft and Roblox
  • Virtual reality
  • “Star Wars” stop-motion animation
  • Journalism and photography
  • Robotics
  • Sports, including baseball, basketball and volleyball camps
  • Study strategies
  • Career exploration
  • Online SAT/ACT prep
  • And more!

Additionally, for the first time this summer, before and after camp day care will be available for select camps for campers ages 8 through 14.

A Bruin Youth Open House for individuals interested in more information about the camps or for those who want to register in person will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 21, in the lobby of the Binda Performing Arts Center, on campus at 450 North Ave. in Battle Creek. Individuals who register for camps at the Open House will receive 10 percent off the cost of each camp, and all attendees will be entered for a chance to win an Amazon Echo Show.

For more information about each Bruin Youth Programming summer camp, including dates, costs and special package deals, visit www.kellogg.edu/youth. Space in each camp is limited and granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
