KCC baseball team to host Baseball Camp for youth Aug. 11 at Bailey Park

KCC's baseball team celebrates after winning the National Junior College Athletic Association regional championship in 2015.

Youth baseball players will have the opportunity to learn from college athletes and coaches from Kellogg Community College’s nationally ranked baseball team during a KCC Baseball Camp next month at Battle Creek’s Bailey Park.

The three-hour clinic is for youth ages 7 through 12 and will cover defense and hitting from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at Morrison Field at Bailey Park, 1350 Capital Ave. NE, Battle Creek. The camp costs $35 per person, which includes a T-shirt and ticket to the National Amateur Baseball Federation World Series happening at Bailey Park the same day.

Baseball Camp participants should arrive ready to play with their glove, a helmet and bat.
