Nine KCC cross-country runners run best times of season at Lansing Invite Friday

Nearly all of Kellogg Community College’s men’s and women’s cross-country runners ran their fastest times of the season at the Lansing Community College Invitational Friday at Grand Woods Park in Lansing.

The men’s team took 14th place our of 19 teams and the women’s team took 15th place out of 21.

Results for each team are below.

Men’s Results (8K)

KCC’s men’s cross-country team finished in 14th place out of 19 teams, with three of five Bruin runners running their fastest race times ever and two running their best times of the season. Individual times and places out of a total of 189 runners are below.

  • Joe Glubke, 94th place, 28:23.0 (PR)
  • Nathan Wiley, 106th place, 28:38.1 (PR)
  • Jack Greenman, 125th place, 29:06.6 (season PR)

Women’s Results (5K)

KCC’s women’s cross-country team finished in 15th place out of 21 teams, with three of five Bruin runners running their fastest best times of the season and one running her fastest race ever. Individual times and places out of a total of 190 runners are below.

“The coaching staff are extremely pleased with the results,” Head KCC Cross-Country Coach Erin Lane said. “The hard work the athletes have been putting in since the beginning of August is starting to pay off.”

The Bruins run next at the Jayhawk Invitational on Friday, Oct. 12, at University Park Golf Course in Muskegon. The men’s 8K race starts at 1 p.m and the women’s 5K race starts at 1:45 p.m.
