Men’s basketball team on four-game winning streak after victory over Olivet JV

Kellogg Community College’s men’s basketball team won its latest home game 102-75 against Olivet College’s JV team Thursday.

Leading the Bruins’ on the court were sophomore Davian Phillips, who had 22 points; sophomore Tishaun Cooper, who had 16 points; sophomore Gregorye Windom, who had 14 points; sophomore Victor Sheffey, who had 14 points; freshman Dom Gibson, who had 10 points; and freshman Zachary Sims, who had 8 points.

“Olivet was a tough opponent and led several times in the first half,” said Head Men’s Basketball Coach Gary Sprague. “This was the best team effort displayed by the Bruins this season. This gives KCC a four-game win streak.”

The win brings the Bruins’ overall record for the season so far to 4-1.

The Bruins’ next home game starts at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, against St. Clair County Community College in the Miller Gym.
