KCC women’s basketball falls 91-77 to Mott Community College over winter break

The Kellogg Community College women’s basketball team lost its latest away game 91-77 against Mott Community College on Saturday, Dec. 29, in Flint.

Leading the Bruins on the court were sophomore Destiny Kincaide, who had 30 points; sophomore DeeDee Post, who had 13 points, 11 assists and 5 rebounds; freshman Kameron Haley, who had 13 points, 9 rebounds and 5 steals; and sophomore Jessalynn Genier, who had 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Head Women’s Basketball Coach Dic Doumanian said the Bruins played a great second half versus a very good team and really grew together as a team.

The recent loss brings the Bruins’ overall record for the season so far to 3-7.

The Bruins head into MCCAA Western Conference play with their next home game starting at 5:30 p.m. today, Thursday, Jan. 3, against Glen Oaks Community College in the Miller Gym.
