KCC women’s basketball loses final game of season to Lansing Community College

The Kellogg Community College women’s basketball team lost its last game of the season 81-59 against conference opponent Lansing Community College on Wednesday in Lansing.

Leading the Bruins on the court were sophomore Kameron Haley, who had 16 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals; sophomore DeeDee Post, who had 11 points and 9 rebounds; sophomore Destiny Kincaide, who had 10 points; and freshman Jessalynn Genier, who had 9 points and 7 rebounds.

“We just couldn’t match Lansing’s intensity and shooting in our season finale,” Head Women’s Basketball Coach Dic Doumanian said. “Thanks to all of you who have followed us and supported us this season, it is very much appreciated. See you next season. Go Lady Bruins!”

The loss brings the Bruins’ overall record for the season to 7-21; the team’s conference record is 4-14.
