KCC offering youth camps and classes this fall in Battle Creek

Kellogg Community College’s Bruin Youth Programming initiative is expanding its popular camp offerings for youth with a series of camps and classes offered on the College’s North Avenue campus in Battle Creek this fall.

Offerings include camps devoted to photography, American Sign Language, cake decorating, babysitting, CPR and first aid, and a new monthly series of Art & Yoga classes held in the yoga studio in KCC’s new Miller Physical Education Building. Also offered are an evening astronomy class at Kingman Museum; a chef class in KCC’s Bruin Bistro cafeteria kitchen; and an eight-week Winter Hitting League for teen baseball players led by KCC’s men’s baseball team in the College’s new batting cage facility on campus.

ART & YOGA

KCC’s new Art & Yoga classes for youth ages 7 to 12 will provide participants with a fun, creative and enriching experience through yoga, games and art projects. Participants will experience the benefits of yoga and discover their creativity in art. Each month will feature a different seasonal theme, including:

All Art & Yoga classes will be held in the yoga studio in Room 111 of KCC’s new Miller Physical Education Building, on campus at 450 North Ave. in Battle Creek. Each session costs $25, or participants can attend all four sessions for a reduced rate of $89.

Registration for each class or camp listed above can be completed entirely online via the direct links above or via KCC’s website at www.kellogg.edu/youth. Registration can also be completed:

  • In person at the Lifelong Learning office in Room 305 of the Lane-Thomas Building on KCC’s North Avenue campus in Battle Creek.
