KCC to hold input sessions in Albion, Coldwater, Hastings

KCC President Adrien Bennings leads an employee input session in the Kellogg Room.

Kellogg Community College invites members of the public in the Albion, Coldwater and Hastings areas to provide their insight as the College continues to develop an institutional strategic plan geared toward student success.

Three upcoming input sessions are scheduled for the purpose of gathering the community’s input. The 90-minute sessions, which are open to the public, will occur at:

  • 9 a.m. March 17 at the Eastern Academic Center, 14055 26-Mile Road, Albion
  • 8:15 a.m. March 19 at the Grahl Center, 125 Seeley St., Coldwater
  • 8:30 a.m. March 31 at the Fehsenfeld Center, 2950 M-179, Hastings

Space is limited, so attendees are asked to RSVP by email to swat@kellogg.edu. Requests for accommodations can be submitted as part of the RSVP.

As part of the planning process this winter and spring, KCC is asking a variety of stakeholders in a series of input sessions what they believe student success looks like, what they believe the College does well and what they believe should be the institution’s priorities in the next three to five years. At each session, participants will be asked to respond to specific questions about the College and discuss their ideas with other participants.

Over the past two weeks, the College has hosted 12 input sessions for employees and community members at its North Avenue campus in Battle Creek.

The input sessions are providing meaningful feedback and complementing additional research regarding the institution and its three-county service area as KCC’s leaders, including President Adrien Bennings and the Board of Trustees, chart the College’s future over the next three years.

“Kellogg Community College is on a mission to help students succeed in Barry, Branch and Calhoun counties,” Dr. Bennings said. “As we build upon achievements and engage with students, employees, trustees, donors, organizational partners and taxpayers, we will keep student success in the forefront. Ultimately, we will have a plan that is strategic, well informed, actively engaged and tenable.”
