Celebrate International Education Week today with Movie Monday

Today is day one of International Education Week, a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education held Nov. 16 through 20 “to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide.”

KCC is celebrating International Education Week all week long, with a different focus each day. Today’s theme is Movie Monday, which gives us an additional opportunity to introduce students to Kanopy — a free on-demand movie-streaming service open to all KCC students.

To watch movies via Kanopy, simply visit www.kanopy.com/signup, click on “Find Your University,” type in “Kellogg Community College” and follow the instructions.

Our staff-picked movie for International Education Week is “Rising from Ashes,” a documentary about the first Rwandan National Cycling Team and its six-year journey to compete in the Olympics. View the official trailer below and the documentary on Kanopy at https://kellogg.kanopy.com/video/rising-ashes.

Stay tuned for more International Education Week content still to come this week, including:

  • Tuesday, Nov. 17: Trivia Tuesday
  • Wednesday, Nov. 18: Welcome Wednesday
  • Thursday, Nov. 19: Thank You Thursday
  • Friday, Nov. 20: Food Friday
