Kellogg Community College students and employees with a KCC email address can stream thousands of movies free thanks to the College’s partnership with streaming service Kanopy.
To begin watching now, simply visit kanopy.com and login with your school email address, selecting Kellogg Community College as your school when prompted.
Kanopy works with more than 4,000 academic and public libraries around the country to offer “essential cinema” to their members, with content partners including the Criterion Collection, A&E, the History network and more.
Content — “movies, documentaries, foreign films, classic cinema, independent films and educational videos that inspire, enrich and entertain,” as stated on the company’s website — can be watched across devices, including TVs; smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices; and desktop and laptop computers, all ad-free.
In addition to browsing the vast library of popular movies and documentaries available on the platform, students interested in specific academic subjects or majors will be interested to view the service’s “Browse by Subjects” page, which includes links to collections of content by topic, including The Arts, Business, Education, Global Studies & Languages, Health, Media & Communications, Sciences, Social Sciences and more.
There’s even a section dedicated to Instructional Films and Lessons, including K-12 lessons for students with kids.
