The Kellogg Community College baseball team will continue its quest for a national title this evening after splitting its first two games in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II World Series this past weekend.

The Bruins opened the series in Enid, Oklahoma, Friday as the fourth seed in the tournament, defeating fifth seed Madison Area Technical College of Madison, Wisconsin, 5-1. KCC then took on first seed Louisiana State University Eunice on Sunday, ultimately falling to the Bengals 10-2.

KCC takes the field again at 8 p.m. tonight against a yet-to-be-determined opponent. If the Bruins win, they’ll take on LSU Eunice again at 7 p.m. Wednesday; if they lose, they come home one of the Top 10 teams in the nation.
