Power was restored to Kellogg Community College’s Battle Creek campus at around 3 p.m. this afternoon after an outage that lasted about an hour. According to the Battle Creek Enquirer, a power pole knocked into some trees on Battle Creek’s north side and cut the electricity of more than 1,200 customers.
Above are a few photos taken during the outage. In the first, employees in the Severin Building bring out flashlights to help them see in the dark. In the second is a darkened library. In the third, employees in the financial aid office continue to assist students despite the lack of power.
