Last day to vote for KCC adjunct in KIA’s Billboard Art Contest

Today is the last day to vote for your favorite of the 20 finalists in the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts’ 2012 Billboard Art Contest. Among the finalists is Vicki VanAmeyden, an adjunct faculty member in the Arts and Communications department at Kellogg Community College.

VanAmeyden is vying with 19 other artists selected by a jury panel to compete for one of the Top 10 spots in the contest, which will be decided through public voting that began April 3 and continues till 5 p.m. today. Among the prizes awarded to each Top 10 artist will be a billboard display of their art that will rotate among 1,300 regional spots in Southwest Michigan for one year, to be erected at the end of May.

To cast your vote, visit the KIA site at www.kiarts.org/page.php?page_id=365# by 5 p.m. and choose your favorite artist. You can vote once per day, so if you’ve voted before, but not today, you still can.
