The Individualized Music Lesson Program Area of the Arts and Communication department at Kellogg Community College will continue its Spring 2012 Student Recital Series with Wednesday Student Recital Series performances at 1 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, April 18, and at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, at the Davidson Visual and Performing Arts Auditorium, located on the college’s main campus.
The recitals are free and open to the public.
The Student Recital Series is the primary vehicle by which students gain performance experience and is the culmination of private study sessions with members of the Kellogg Community College music program area faculty. Each recital will feature students from the Individualized Lesson Program performing on a variety of musical instruments, which range from voice and piano to guitar and vocal ensemble.
In the photo above, Gerald Blanchard, professor of vocal music and the Individualized Music Lesson Program coordinator, leads choir members in a rehearsal for their annual “Singing in the Spring” concert, which was held April 15.
