Visitors to the Battle Creek campus of Kellogg Community College may have noticed the new sculptural fountain in the pool outside the library. The sculpture was created by Tekonsha artist Vee Kalnins and was installed on April 4.
Titled “Rhom-Petals,” the sculpture project was sponsored by the Kellogg Community Foundation’s Art on Campus Initiative, the mission of which is to provide “art experiences” on the campuses of KCC, according the groups webpage at www.kellogg.edu/foundation/artoncampus.
The photo of the sculpture featured above was taken by KCC art instructor Ryan Flathau. For photos from the sculpture’s installation, visit Kellogg Community College’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/KelloggCommunityCollege/photos.
