Members of the Kellogg Community College Choral Union returned home from their historic Concert Tour of Ireland at around 9:15 p.m. last night, according to a post on the Kellogg Choirs blog from Gerald Blanchard, professor of vocal music at KCC and director of the college ensembles whose members make up the Choral Union.
According to the post, titled “We are home,” “The choir returned home safe and sound last night around 9:15 p.m. Hugs and tearful goodbyes ended the trip. This was a fabulous way to culminate and celebrate the vocal music area’s 55 years of music making.”
The trip included the Kellogg Community College choral area’s first international tour and, as Blanchard noted in his post, commemorated the 55th anniversary of the choral area at the college.
The above video — also from the Kellogg Choirs blog — of choir members singing was taken at the Chicago O’Hare International Airport, where the group surprised travelers with a performance.
