KCC in the news: July 18, 2012

  • Branch County’s WTVB posted an article about Kellogg Community College officially taking over the Grahl Center property from the Branch Intermediate School District in Coldwater, with the land deed going to KCC. “The action was taken Tuesday by the BISD Board and is part of legislation sponsored by State Representative Ken Kurtz of Coldwater to guarantee the property be used exclusively for public purposes such as a community college,” WTVB reports.
  • The Battle Creek Enquirer posted an article about Kellogg Community College being reaccredited by the Higher Learning Commission. “The designation is important for several reasons. It is required for KCC to accept federal financial aid for students, for example, and smooths the transition of KCC graduates to four-year universities,” the Enquirer reports.
