Kellogg Community College’s women’s volleyball team spent much of their holiday weekend in Toledo, Ohio, for the Owens Tournament, playing six games Friday through Sunday.
Here are the results according to the Michigan Community College Athletic Association website:
- Game 1 (noon Friday, Aug. 31): Lost to Moraine Valley in three games (18-25, 19-25, 17-25)
- Game 2 (3:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31): Lost to Schoolcraft in three games (20-25, 22-25, 21-25)
- Game 3 (12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1): Lost to Sinclair Community College in five games (12-25, 25-20, 20-25, 25-22, 12-15)
- Game 4 (5:45 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1): Lost to Columbus State Community College in three games (19-25, 21-25, 21-25)
- Game 5 (10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 2): Won against McHenry County College in four games (25-19, 25-17, 21-25, 25-22)
- Game 6 (1:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2): Lost to Monroe College in three games (23-25, 24-26, 21-25)
The team plays next beginning at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, at Lansing Community College in Lansing. Their first home game starts at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, when they’ll play against Kalamazoo Valley Community College at the Miller Gymnasium.
