The latest mentions of Kellogg Community College in online media come courtesy of the Battle Creek Enquirer, which late last night posted feature articles about the college’s women’s soccer and volleyball teams.
- The article about the women’s soccer team, “Bruins turning the corner: Soccer seeking growth in 2nd year,” highlights a young team — there are just three sophomores on this year’s squad — in what is just the second year of women’s soccer at the college. The team is is already improving over last year’s performance. “KCC is 0-1-1 on the young season,” the Enquirer notes, “and sophomore forward Lizzy Miller (Harper Creek) already equaled last season’s team goal total by herself when she netted two in a 2-2 season-opening tie with Muskegon CC.”
- The article about the women’s volleyball team, “KCC begins ‘new’ era: Former player hopes to lead Lady Bruins back to the top,” highlights former Bruin Amy Julien’s rise to head coach of the team she once played for. “There’s a reason the years I went to school here are on the banners in the gym,” Julien says in the article. “I tell them that I want you guys to be up here and be a part of the history of KCC volleyball.”
