  • The Battle Creek Enquirer includes a profile of Jimmy “DJ Jimmy C” Collins, who after 15 years working with WNWN-FM 98.5 will be honored at a fundraising “Songs for Life” benefit concert this weekend to help offset medical bills related to his diagnosis of emphysema, pulmonary fibrosis and pulmonary hypertension. The article says Collins studied at Kellogg Community College and earned associate degrees in broadcasting, video production and computer engineering from the college.
  • The Daily Illini, the student newspaper at the University of Illinois, includes a profile of Nick Roussey, superintendent of the college’s current Gregory Hall and Noyes Lab construction projects. The article says Roussey was born in Bronson, Mich., and enrolled at Kellogg Community College in 1994 on his path to earning a degree in engineering, design and computer-aided drafting.
  • Speaking of student newspapers, the latest edition of The Bruin, Kellogg Community College’s student newspaper, is out now and should be available on newsstands around campus soon.
