Pictured above, individuals interested in pursing a career in the field of corrections listen to a speaker during one of the corrections officer career fairs held at Kellogg Community College yesterday afternoon. The State of Michigan plans to hire hundreds of additional corrections officers over the next year, and KCC is helping prepare applicants with an accelerated, five-course certification program to be offered at the Grahl Center on weekday evenings over a 15-week period beginning in January 2013.
