KCC in the news: Monday, Nov. 26, 2012

The Kellogg Community College men’s basketball team, pictured above, had a rough weekend, falling to Triton College on Friday and to Owens Community College on Saturday during tournament play at Lansing Community College. Stay tuned to this blog for a post including stats from each game.

  • Branch County’s WTVB posted an audio interview with Kellogg Community College students Melissa Swarts and Katie Miller, who study at the College’s Grahl Center in Coldwater, highlighting service learning projects the students are involved with this year. A new service learning requirement began this year for many KCC students; click here for more information from the College’s website.
  • The Battle Creek Enquirer posted a holiday events calendar including a number of Kellogg Community College choral events coming in the first weeks of December. Stay tuned to this blog for more information about each event.
  • According to an article from MLive, Joe Marcotte, a Kellogg Community College student, was among those getting into the holiday spirit this past weekend by purchasing a Christmas tree. Marcotte is quoted in the post.
  • WTVB posted an article about veteran Coldwater Police Department Sergeant Joe Shied accepting the position of Deputy Director of Public Safety at the department. According to the post, Shied has been an adjunct professor in Kellogg Community College’s Law Enforcement Program.
