The National Council for Marketing and Public Relations last week honored Kellogg Community College with four district awards for its efforts to recruit students and publicize the college in 2012.
Representatives of KCC’s Public Information and Marketing Department accepted the awards at the NCMPR District Three “Medallion Awards” dinner in Chicago on March 11.
KCC won a gold medallion for a “Bruin Blast” poster; a silver for a recruitment marketing program implemented as part of KCC’s reaccreditation campaign; a silver for a feature article written for a KCC magazine; and a bronze for a print advertisement series.
KCC’s PIM Department, which provides a variety of marketing services to the college, includes Penny Rose, publications manager; Kathy Jarvie, media design staff assistant; Simon Thalmann, digital marketer/writer; Kristen Stolz, secretary; and Eric Greene, director.
NCMPR represents marketing and public relations professionals at community and technical colleges in the United States and Canada. District Three of NCMPR includes Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin and Ontario.
