  • “In video, community rallies behind KCC on immigrant tuition” (Battle Creek Enquirer): “The video unveiled Tuesday shows many local students and residents just saying ‘thanks’ and others calling the college and its leaders courageous. It features students from the Coalition for Tuition Equality at the University of Michigan and members of the Grand Rapids-based Hispanic Center of Western Michigan. … The video also features JONAH’s Carlton Lartigue, Battle Creek City Manager Ken Tsuchiyama, Kyra Sichinga, managing director of the local Urban League, and others. Though representatives don’t appear on-camera, the video lists Battle Creek Public Schools, Harper Creek Community Schools, Lakeview School District, Pennfield Schools, Miller College, the Battle Creek College Access Network and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, among others, as supporters.”
  • “KCC baseball team looking to continue program’s success” (Battle Creek Enquirer): “The Bruins will again battle in a loaded MCCAA, hoping to repeat last season’s conference title. KCC has earned its reputation as a top-flight JUCO baseball program thanks to five World Series trips since 1999 and six conference titles in the past 12 years. But the program also prides itself on its work in the classroom, as the team compiled a 3.26 GPA this fall semester.”
