Tyler Shelton of Berrien Springs has signed a National Letter of Intent to play men’s basketball at Kellogg Community College and will begin playing for the Bruins next season.
Shelton played basketball in Berrien Springs from grade school all the way through varsity at Berrien Springs High School. For the last three years he’s also played for the Southwest Michigan Thunder and Michiana Thoroughbreds travel basketball teams.
Melvin McKnight, head coach of the men’s basketball team at KCC, said Shelton is a hard worker eager to better himself and will be a great fit in the program, on the court and off.
“Education is the key to success,” McKnight said. “That’s why he wanted to come to KCC and that’s why I wanted him.”
