Kellogg Community College basketball players and coaching staff will lead two sessions of a Summer Basketball Camp for youth from Monday, June 24, through Thursday, June 27, at the Miller Gymnasium, 450 North Ave., Battle Creek.
The camp includes a 9 a.m. to noon session for sixth through ninth graders and a 1 to 4 p.m. session for first through fifth graders. The cost is $40 per child, with the option to include a second child (a sibling) for $25.
All Summer Basketball Camp participants will learn fundamental basketball drills – including shooting, dribbling and passing skills – and will receive a camp T-shirt and packet full of basketball drills. They’ll be taught by current and former college and pro players in a fun environment offering excitement and good competition for all ages.
Registration for the camps began June 10 and runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays and from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Miller Gym. If you are unable to pick up registration forms at any of these times you may request them by emailing Ben Reed, assistant men’s basketball coach at KCC, at wmureed33@yahoo.com.
