Today’s links include good news about an outgoing Bruins pitcher and other KCC athletes and some more good news about an incoming Bruins pitcher/outfielder.

  • “KCC’s Mayle named All-American: Hurler named All-American; KCC athletes honored for academic achievement” (Battle Creek Enquirer): “Kellogg Community College alumnus Chad Mayle raked in all kinds of awards and honors for his efforts on the mound for the Bruins. Now had can add All-American to the list. … KCC’s softball team, its baseball team and four of its players have been honored by the NJCAA for their work in the classroom for the 2012-13 academic year.”
  • “Bradner picked to be on Dream Team” (Livingston Daily Press & Argus): “For the third year in a row, a Howell baseball player was named to the all-state Dream Team by the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association on Tuesday. Tyler Bradner, who set a Howell school record in RBIs (56), hit well over .400 and led them to the Division 1 semifinals this season, was named to the all-state first team as an outfielder. Bradner also was a standout pitcher, throwing a no-hitter against Temperance Bedford in the quarterfinals.  Bradner will play baseball at Kellogg Community College next season.”
