Here are some reminders of upcoming events related to Kellogg Community College.

Scheduled for Monday, July 15, 2013:

  • The second pair of four engineering and robotics summer camps for youth to be hosted by KCC’s Lifelong Learning department this summer begin at the college’s Regional Manufacturing Technology Center in Battle Creek.   • July 17 is the deadline to register for the summer Volleyball Skills Camps for Girls to be led by KCC’s women’s volleyball players and coaches later this month. Click here for more information about the camps from a post on this blog.

  • Students in the Upward Bound program will head to Detroit to visit the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History and Motown as part of a Friday Excursion field trip. Click here for more information about the Upward Bound program from a post on this blog.

Scheduled for Saturday, July 20, 2013:

  • Firefighters using KCC’s Air Rescue Firefighter (ARFF) Trainer, an aircraft fire simulator used to train fire departments across the United States to respond to aircraft fires, begin training at an airport in Shiawassee County.   • Firefighters using KCC’s Air Rescue Firefighter (ARFF) Trainer, an aircraft fire simulator used to train fire departments across the United States to respond to aircraft fires, finish training at an airport in Shiawassee County.   • The Upward Bound and Horizons at KCC summer learning programs for high schoolers and elementary school kids, respectively, are underway and will run weekdays through Friday, July 26. Coming soon:

  • The priority processing deadline (all documents submitted) for students applying for financial aid to attend KCC for the Fall 2013 semester is Friday, July 26. By submitting all requested documentation with correct and complete information by these dates, students allow for adequate processing time in order to determine financial aid eligibility by the beginning of the fall semester.   • Summer 2013 classes end Thursday, Aug. 15.
  • Fall 2013 classes begin Thursday, Aug. 29.
