While the deadline to apply to begin studies as part of the 2013-14 Police Academy at Kellogg Community College was technically July 19, the program is still accepting applications, with possible admissions on a first-come, first-served basis.
A waiting list will be started in the event that more qualified people are accepted than the academy allows for.
A final session of the academy’s reading, writing and physical fitness test, which must be completed and passed as part of the application process, will be held on Saturday, July 27. Visit www.kellogg.edu/criminaljustice/mcoles.html for more information.
Police Academy orientation for new recruits will be held Wednesday, Aug. 21, at which time all applications, background checks and interviews must be completed.
