Congratulations to Brad Fuller, winner of the Kellogg Community College Chili Cook-Off!
And a hearty thank you to the 40 people who bought tickets, sampled chili and voted today. Thanks to you, we had a blast, raised $200 for KCC’s United Way campaign and gave Brad well-deserved bragging rights for his terrific chili recipe.
We extend a very special thanks to Laura Walters and Charles Franks of Laura’s Gourmet Catering for their gracious and expert assistance before, during and after the cook-off. We also thank the volunteer cooks for giving up parts of their day yesterday to prepare their chili: Brad Fuller, Ron Coller, Kristen Stolz, Kelly Frost, Tammy Douglas and Eric Greene. And thanks to Kassie Dunham and Meredith Stravers for handling money and tickets at today’s lunch event.
As a reminder, we’re hosting another fundraiser this month. It’s a luncheon with “celebrity servers” from KCC. Seats are $8 apiece for lunch, which begins at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 24 in the Kellogg Room. Reservations are required in advance and can be made by emailing douglast@kellogg.edu. Seating is limited, so make your reservation today!
Sincerely,
Eric Greene and Tammy Douglas
